Giving thanks.

We just wrapped a great shoot with Motorola and Draft FCB here in LA this week and wanted to give a thanks to our crew, the people at Draft FCB and Motorola. This shot was taken after half the team went home but at least we got the stragglers together! Just add Kristian, Amy
and her make-up team, Yuji and his hair team, Kris and her styling team in your head and you can see why you need so many motor homes.

Monster Polaroid Children Project.

Monster Children has hit our shores and in their first U.S. issue they have a beautiful feature on our Polaroid Project. We also shot artist Lisa Solberg for a little feature and photos from our opening are in the back. We’re all over it! You can pick up a copy at your local newsstand or buy one online HERE.

THIS presents “Collage”.

Our second show at that place we started opens this Friday night, followed by the US launch of our office mates/good friends Monster Children who’s first issue here in the USA has the first feature ever of our Polaroid project.

More info after the jump.

Quiksilver Women.

Some ads we did for Quiksilver along with their Spring 2010 catalog. Shot a ton of film and Polaroid on that one and it looks great how they used it all together to make the catalog. More after the jump.

Another party.

This Saturday night we are having a closing party for our inaugural show here at THIS. Please come out and see the art, have a drink, talk to friends and meet some new ones. If you buy some art you can take it home with you! See you there.

Name that band.

OK here we Go…

Just watched the new OK GO video and we’re proud of the dudes. They never cease to amaze us when it comes to pulling off their ideas. I’m glad they call us when they need pictures done. “Can we get a mini horse? Of course” Above photo is from the last press shoot we did with them, below is their new video. Enjoy.

snow.

Claire shot this of me last week up in the mountains with her new Polaroid camera.

2010 so far.

We’re a month and a half into the new decade and I am trying to wrap my head around what we’ve been up to lately. Opening a gallery (THIS was a huge success) seems like it has taken up all of our time, but we did actually have some photo shoots sprinkled in there too. Nothing that big so far, but our fingers are crossed. A shoot for Rolling Stone last week, a couple shoots for The Wire, a shoot for Rockstar Games, a print campaign for Motorola, a shoot for our new studio mates Monster Children who are about to invade our shores with their magazine.

Claire and friends in our studio.

After a big project you’ve been working on for months happens it’s sometimes hard to get your head back into all the other things that are going on. Like trying to make a new website that hasn’t been updated in over 2 years, trying to actually put out this Polaroid Project book, setting up the next show we are going to be having at the space (a collage show is next and then a Polaroid show we are curating with Jason Lee). I’ll stop the rambling now. Sorry. How are you?

The spread above is Sarah Silverman we shot for the latest issue of Nylon.
