Easter Sunday in Topanga Canyon.

Easter Sunday, our friend Shannyn invited us to Topanga canyon for an Easter egg hunt with her son Audio. Nathan and Babel, and of course Chris and Aya all came as well for some huntin’. We had no idea what to expect of the party and would have never guessed what we were in for. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Topanga Canyon, it’s right outside Los Angeles but is like a whole other world. And we were right in the middle of it. Another thing to remind me why I love this city, you can drive 20 minutes and be in the woods hanging out w/ hippies banging on pots and pans parading around the woods.

Disneylandworld.

Chris and Aya came down to Los Angeles for Easter weekend so we could take Aya and ourselves to Disneyland for the first time ever. Both Chris and myself grew up going to Disneyworld every year when we were kids but neither of us had been to Disneyland, so what better way to go than with a 2 1/2 year old? It was pretty amazing despite the insane lines everywhere, but not much has changed there it seems in 50 years.
On Easter Sunday, Shannyn brought us up to the craziest/strangest/funnest weirdfest in Topanga Canyon. More on that tomorrow.

More Disney after the jump…

The 70’s looked super cool.

Our friend steven put up a little site of some polaroids he’s been shooting. They look like they are straight out of the 70’s.

Check them out here http://thematerialtrip.com/polaroids.htm
