It’s true. We are back in Los Angeles now attempting to catch up with everything. Spending all our time with the little man. Trying to not wake up at 5AM and go to bed at 8PM. Hopefully we’ll get back on California time before we head out again for that next big project. More on that soon, but for now here are some photos we took while in South Africa. Most of our days were spent shooting but we had 2 days to hang out when we first got there to approve locations, meet everyone, and let our bodies recover after 40 hours of traveling. More posts soon. Here’s some complete randomness from Africa South. Photo above taken at the sugar cane fields overlooking the Indian Ocean. Our assistant Rennie and Chaperone Sithembiso. Ludacris’ Pimpin’ all over the world video was shot all in Durban, S.A. BTW.

First sign I saw, 20 minutes off the plane.

You cannot imagine how many photos we have of each other just from checking locations, lighting etc. Millions easy.

Winter in Durban is basically like winter in Los Angeles, it rains a bit but it’s not very cold. That’s Durban in the background, birds in the foreground.

We asked Sithembiso to bring us away from the tourist areas, so he brought us “2 Daghetto”.

Backpackers paradise.

All the taxis in Durban had crazy stickers all over them with sayings like 2 Legit and Thug Paradise, and they all are have ground shaking bass as they roll by with 20 people in them. We thought it was some strange car club at first until it was explained to us. Tupac is huge with South African taxi drivers by the way.

Castle, about a dollar each anywhere you go.

It was a little sunnier the 2nd day so we shot some postcard photos…

and went to some new neighborhoods.

Sithembiso and sugar cane. His name means promise because his mother promised his dad a boy after 8 (I think?) girls.

And then the shoot days begin…
