Day 3 of our up north trip had us waking up in Oakland and going to spend the day on the boardwalk in Santa Cruz before rushing home to do a shoot for Interscope early the next morning. For those that don’t know, the Santa Cruz boardwalk rules. It’s the only thing in California that reminds me of growing up in Jersey. We played lasertag, air hockey, skipped some rocks, etc. with Chris and and his “friend” Maggie. Santa Cruz is also where they filmed Lost Boys and the styles of the people hanging out there haven’t changed much. Another brilliant day.

Since we were staying in Oakland, I couldn’t help but wake up every morning and get Hyphy in my new sleeping bag. I got bruises on my hips from sleeping on Chris’ hardwood floor 3 nights in a row.

Aya and her “O’s”.

Air hockey in the pirate arcade.

Two 19’s on one team! Go Russia!

This dude was killing it on the Guitar Hero but Drum game. Drum Hero? He even brought his own sticks. By the way, Midnight Madness Tour 1984 is friggin Night Ranger!

Chris and I kept trying to Ace each other and I said “this pucks gonna lift up and break my finger” about 30 seconds before the puck lifted and almost broke my finger, I also got hit in the face. And I also shot the puck over the side of the balcony and almost hit someone down below.

Maggie and her seaweed flower.

Look at that rock skipping form. I was hitting boats 2 miles out.

In Santa Cruz skateboarding while holding roller skates is totally against the law.
