Here are some photos we shot of Rivers Cuomo for Rolling Stone a couple years ago. Leading up to the shoot everyone decided Rivers needed to be playing some sort of sport and he came back and said that he’d been boogie boarding a lot lately and we could shoot him doing that. Wasn’t sure if he was joking or serious, actually most of what he said that day we couldn’t tell if he was serious or not. Anyway, the day of the shoot he comes walking down Santa Monica pier already in his wetsuit and fins with 3 $15 boogie boards ready to go. We splashed around for a good hour and he was off.
